About

Meet Nicole Yurgin

I am Nicole Yurgin, a seasoned biopharma leader with more than 20 years of experience in the industry.

Over the years, I have held senior evidence and access roles at Lilly, Amgen, and Novartis in global, regional, and country functions. Most recently, as the Global Head of Value and Access at Novartis, I led a team of more than 100 people in market access, pricing, HEOR, and health policy. My background spans deep U.S. payer and policy expertise as well as extensive experience navigating European healthcare systems and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) bodies.

From Classroom to Boardroom

After getting my PhD, I began my career as an Economics professor, where I discovered a passion for teaching and for translating complex ideas into practical solutions. That drive for real-world impact led me into the pharmaceutical industry, where I found my purpose: ensuring that patients gain access to life-changing medicines.

After more than two decades with pharmaceutical companies, launching global brands from everything from general medicine to rare diseases, I wanted to take the next step. I founded Yurgin Advisory GmbH to continue that learning journey – this time by partnering more directly with companies, investors, and boards.

Why I Do This Work

Through Yurgin Advisory, I help life sciences companies and investors translate evidence into strategies that resonate with payers and, most importantly, benefit patients. I bring deep expertise in evidence planning, payer strategy, and valuation across the U.S., Europe and global markets. I’ve also thought carefully about creative approaches to meet higher evidence needs of some countries while minimizing risk elsewhere.

What excites me the most is being a trusted partner to my clients. I want to use my decades of experience to accelerate access to innovation and ensure that investments truly translate into better patient outcomes.
